Our mantra, “MIXT is the way to salad” took on a new meaning with the LA Times rating MIXT “Best of the Best” salad restaurants in Los Angeles.
We’re honored that the Los Angeles Times’s food columnist and critic Lucas Kwan Peterson was swept with our Puebla salad, saying:
“The Puebla salad really shines — seeds are always good in a salad, and this one has crunchy pepitas. It also has slightly spiced sweet potato chunks, with a texture almost like dried apple, plus scallions and a creamy poblano dressing to go with a big slab of fried chicken cutlet. Sound good? It is.”
Other standouts from the LA Times were our abundant portions and butter lettuce, an option not often offered at other spots. We use butter lettuce on our salads for its soft, buttery texture and subtle sweet flavor, the perfect complement to our champagne dressing and unique combinations of ingredients.
We’re a proud Certified B Corporation at MIXT, which means we support clean living and environmental sustainability that does right by our ingredients, its makers, and the planet. Angelenos know their salads and we’re proud to be named one of the best. Come taste for yourself at one of our three Southern California restaurants: Silver Lake, Santa Monica and Miracle Mile.
